Sorry these are delayed. I had an opportunity come my way, and I had to take yesterday to prepare some projects for it. I'll share more as it develops. It's a crafting thing too! :D I'm so excited!

Scarecrow Skittles Wrappers

The base is the Two Tags die, SU's BigZ Die # 115954 $21.95

Die cut 2 of the scallop tag.

Score 1/2" from bottom end on each.

Overlap bottom scored sections, attach together with Sticky Strip.

Secure Skittles package with Sticky Strip to inside of one tag.

Staple tags together at top.

Diecut leaves using Leaves #2 Die #113459 $15.95

Attach 2 to front of tag with glue dots.

Scarecrow

1 - scallop circle 1 3/4" Crumb Cake

1 - Jumbo Oval punch - Stamp a section of More Mustard CS with a crackle BG stamp using Crumb Cake - punch oval from that - cut in half or a little less than half. I trimmed them again, after I had them cut in half.
1 Modern Label punch shape - punch from same scrap of More Mustard CS
Draw smile with Chocolate Chip or Early Espresso marker.
Cut triangle scrap from Pumpkin Pie. Attach above smile.
Attach wiggle eyes with Mono Multi Glue.
Attach 1/2 oval to top of head. Layer Modern label hat brim over that.
Center between leaves attach with Sticky Strip.
I also tied a bit of fiber yarn around the base before I attached the scarecrow head.

Reindeer Treat

The base is the Two Tags die, SU's BigZ Die # 115954 $21.95

Die cut 1 of the larger tag.

Fold Flap up.

Attach a 1" x 2.75" strip of designer paper to the front.

Attach a 1 3/4" Scallop Circle to tag so the top end tucks under with the flap.

Attach a Real Red 1 3/8" circle.

Punch one owl. Trim off the feet.

Punch one snowflake from Chocolate chip CS. Cut into 3 sections.

Attach one section behind head for antlers.

Draw smile with Chocolate Chip or Early Espresso marker.

My smiles are all a little lop sided. They must have been sneaking egg nog, or it was because I did these at 2 am one night. :)

For the shiny nose I embossed a scrap if Real Red with Clear embossing powder.

Punch out a 1/2" circle from this.

Attach wiggle eyes with Mono Multi Glue.

Attach to tag with Sticky Strip.

Inside to attach any candy treat, use a 1" section of sticky strip

on inside, back of tag.

Peppermint Patty Treats

I used Chocolate Gold Coins inside of these.

Punch 6 1 3/4" Scallop Circle from Black CS.

Punch 6 1 3/4" Scallop Circles from blue dsp or CS.

Stamp a face on white for a snowman that will fit inside the 1 1/4" circle punch.

It can even be part of a larger image like A Cute Christmas.

I used the retired Cold Play set.

For the treat on the left I stamped 2 circles to create a body.

For the treat on the right I punched 2 snowflakes.

Slide them into the treat bag (I bought these from Clear Bags).

Tie the top off. I punched out a phrase from the retied Cold Play set,

with the Modern label punch and added a snowflake.

Butterfly Lip Gloss

Die 2 of the largest butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies SU's Bigz Die #114507 $21.95 -It is just half a body, so fold your papers in half first.

One of pastel cardstock and one of vellum.

Open the the vellum flat and emboss with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder #119277 $7.95

Layer these together, attach together at fold with Sticky Strip, fold in half with front facing out.

Punch a hole through all 4 layers with the Crop A Dile, about 1/4" from fold.

Thread an 8" ribbon through the holes.

Open flat. Attach lip gloss with Sticky Strip over fold. Tie ribbon around this.

Snowman Hats

It's full of marshmallows for snowman poop. You could put anything small inside here. Even a gift of jewelry!

I cut the tubes that the Decor elements come in into 3" lengths.

Die cut a circle with the Circle Bigz Clear Die #114533 $19.95 from Black CS.

Punch a 2.5" circle from a post it. Center it on the die cut circle.

Cut snips in all around the post it to create flaps.

Attach Sticky Strip around one end of tube. Set tube on circle (without post it)

Attach flaps by pressing upward onto Sticky Strop tape.

This creates your tube bottom.

Wrap 2 sided or Sticky Strip tape around top and bottom edge of tube.

Take black tissue paper 12" x 9" Fold in half so it measure 6 " x 9".

Wrap around tube so it overlaps bottom edge by 1/4" to 1/2".

Attach end with tape after wrapping all the way around the tube.

Carefully tuck tissue down into tube.

Die cut 2 more circles with Circle Bigz Clear Die #114533 $19.95

Glue together. Attach to bottom of tube with Mono Multi glue.

Center tube over the circles and pressed down firmly.

This will be the brim of the hat.

Tie a 16" piece of 5/8" Real Red grosgrain ribbon around tube.

Attach snowflakes with glue dots.

Fill a Cello Bags 50 ct. #103104 $3.95 with 1/2 cup of small marshmallows.

Twist tie shut. I folded the bag over 1/3 the tall way so it slid into the tube easier.

The tag is a Real Red Decorative Label punch, a Garden Green Jumbo Oval punch, and the words are cut into a 1" strip, then punched out with the Decorative Label punch.
Glue together hang from twist tie that holds the bag of marshmallows closed.

Snowman Soup from an Envelope

This Snowman Soup guy is cased from Tami White who did a 3x3 pocket with a gift card last year. I never got around to making them for Christmas last year, so I'm trying for this year. This is made with one of our regular card envelopes. I also made one with a 5.5" Square envelope. It is large enough to hold cocoa and treats for 2 people.

Back view and contents.

Head:
Seal regular card envelope shut.
Trim to 5” long Attach loose flaps at top edge with snail.
Turn tall way. Fold up bottom corners at 1.5” from each side of bottom edge. Attach with snail or Mono Multi glue.

Hat:
Apply Sticky Strip to both front and back of open end of envelope.
Cut hat band 1.25” x 11” or 12” Either length of paper works, the 12” has some to overlap.
Score hat band at 4 and 9.5”
Remove tape cover from back side.
Attach hat band to back of bag with ends overlapping on the front. Line up 1/16” above edge of envelope.
Cut a piece 3.5” x 4” for hat body.
Attach 3.5” x 4’ on front of envelope. Overlap envelope edge ¼”.
Fold flaps over front and press down firmly.
Punch holes at top, outside corners (just below the hat body). for ribbon to hang it with. Tie knot in each end of 18” of Black Grosgrain ribbon on front side of hat.
Tie 15” fabric or ribbon around hat body. Trim ends.
Face:
Attach 2 ¾” circles for eyes. Attach with snail or Mono Multi glue.
Draw squiggles with white gel pen.
Cut a carrot nose. Attach with a dimensional.
Free hand draw a mouth. Using a dauber sponge to the circle cheeks with Blushing Bride or Pretty in Pink.
Draw in eyebrows.

Holly:
Punch 2 large oval punches. Freehand cut to holly shape. Punch 3 ½” Circles from red cardstock. I embossed my red cardstock with one layer of Clear Embossing Powder.
Attach over ends on hat brim to hide where they meet. Use a dimensional to attach one berry to give them depth.

Cut out poems and attach to back of hat body with snail or Mono Multi glue.

Fill with:
hot chocolate packet
candy cane
Small Ziploc bag of 8-12 marshmallows and 3 chocolate kisses

Big Shot Snowflake Tealight

You'll need 2 die cut snow flakes. Make sure you have good plates or those little ovals don't cut through. :)

A tea light candle. You could use one of the battery lights also. I covered the outside of the metal cup the candle sits in with Sticky Strip then rolled it in the Chunky Glitter. Very festive!

A long arm brad (like in the hodge podge kits). I used this to fasten the 2 snowflakes together.

Apply a Dimensional to the center of the top snowflake and stick the candle to this. You can bend also the snowflake "arms" up and down for the tealight to stand up on the table.

For the candle I cased my friend Tanya Boser. She did this last Christmas for tealight gifts. Start at step 13 to see how to do the candles.

Matchbook Lip Gloss Holder

Fisrt you need to find the small pots of lip gloss. Mine fits in a 1 1/4" Circle punch. If yours is smaller or larger you'll need to use the appropiate punch for the opening.

Cut cardstock or DSP 3" x 8 1/2"

Score at 1", 5", and 5 1/2" Fold on the score lines.

Die cut 2 of the Flower Fold die*

*I used the 2nd smallest blossom.

If your lip gloss pot is larger, you may want to use a larger flower.

Emboss flowers in Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

Punch out center with punch that fits the lip gloss.

Fold up at 1" score line and staple this flap to the back at the center point.

Punch opening in center of front flap of matchbook, or as close as you can get it.

Glue one flower on each side of opening.

If you use DSP you may want to line the inside with cardstock to strengthen the back.

Close matchbook and set lip gloss pot in opening.

Use Dimensionals or glue dots to hold lip gloss in place.

Using an 18" piece of ribbon tie a bow around bottom fold. Trim ends.

Your party project or favor is now complete.

Glass Slipper How tos

I taped the pattern to the window sheet and cut and score all the lines before removing the pattern. The bummer about acetate products is you can see the tape. I used sticky Strip tape. Nothing else held as well.

The bling is added with Sticky Strip and Chunky Glitter around the shoe edges. The buckle is 2 layers of Silver EP embossed, then punched with the Modern Label punch. I used the Crop A Dile to punch a hole for a Filigree brad held on by an Ice Rhinestone.

the Evil Step-Sister's shoe. Not quite as pretty!

Made using Pink Pirouette cardstock. So much easier to work with! When you crease cardstock, it stays creased!

I used Mono Multi Glue and SU's Pink Glitter to add the bling on this shoe.

The flower was created using the largest shape of the Boho Blossoms Punch. I used 5 layers. Wet the cardstock after it is punched out. Scrunch and let sit to dry. Glue together with Mono Multi . After I had glue between all the layers I held the whole flower together for about 1 minute. Then set it aside to dry completely. In the center of the flower is a half pearl sitting on part of a dimensional. I attached the flower to the shoe with a couple of glue dots. Apply tiny amounts of Mono Multi Glue to the tips of the flower petals then dust with glitter.

I found the shoe pattern at this blog. Her picture link no longer works, but if you right click and save this picture, then paste it into a document. You can make it any size you want. I enlarged it to fit a 8.5" x 11 sheet. Score on all dotted lines. Cut on all straight lines.

Patch Of Pumpkins

This mini pumpkin is filled with a bag of Decorative Label Punches.

To make the pumpkin you'll need:

2 scallop circles - I used the 2 3/8" Scallop punch.

One leaf - This is from the Big Shot Leaves #2 Die

A 1.5" scrap of Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon and Sticky Strip tape

Emboss the 2 scallops in the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. Emboss the leaf in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The 2 folders fit in the Big Shot at one time.

Score 1/2" from one edge to create a flap to fold in for the bottom. Apply Sticky Strip as shown in the photo. Lay one circle over the other to create the pumpkin body. Make sure to align the scallop edges so they line up at the top too.

Attach punch shapes in bag to inside of pumpkin using strip of sticky strip. A mini candy bar can also fit inside, just score at 3/4"-1" on each pumpkin.

Lay Old Olive ribbon stem over Sticky Strip before pinching top together, it will stick up between the pumpkin layers. See photo.

Attach leaf to front with a glue dot. I also added a retired SU button that I tied with Linen Thread and attached with another glue dot. So quick and easy. You can make these with any size Scallop circle. The larger the circle the wider your base needs to be so they don't fall over.

Tool Tip: Extender for punching small pieces

Handy tool tip: Using a post it as an extender.

I used the Designer Label punch to punch out a head at the neckline. I used

a post it to hold the punch shape. Slid it into the punch and got this cool head shape.

The BOO is created with Lovely Letters Alphabet. I used the 1" Circle Punch for these. I thought it would look girly, but the vines just help the spooky look.

I sponged the edges of the bat with White Craft Ink.

A Tangerine Tango Top Note sponged aroud the edges with Black, and a 2.5" Circle Punch moon from Daffodil Delight make a great base for this bookmark. I cut 2 slits in the Top Note, 3" down from the top edge, 1/2" apart by 11/2" long using my 12" Fiskars cutter. I hand cut the mouth with fangs. Not the easiest thing to cut out, but then I wasn't making 100! I've got a cute Halloween hand out!

Card Corner Bookmark

This is a great card for a teacher or anyone who loves to read.

It is one of those many layer cards, but easy to make.

I used the level 2 Apple Blossom set to make this card. I saw this collage card online, but I cannot find it again, to post who inspired me. Thank you for sharing. I didn't know what to do with this set once I got it! :)

The bookmark is made with the retired Big Shot Petal Card Die.

Easy to cut, fold, and stamp!

Emboss 1 of the triangles.

1 Tab punch

Attach brad to tab punch before attaching to folded petal card base.

If you don't have this die you can still make a corner book mark.

Cut a 5" square of CS - Score from corner to corner on the diagonal and cut out one triangle section. Remove section marked with an X. See photo below. Fold over 2 opposite flaps and glue down to create a triangle corner box to slide over page.

Cut 1 6.5" square of Whisper White

Cut CS square on diagonal, then emboss 1 of the triangles.

Lay Whisper White on Certainly Celery Triangle. lining up tips.

DO NOT GLUE DOWN YET! Cut tip off of both.

For some reason it fits on the page better.

Center and attach Whisper White CS on Certainly Celery Triangle.

To decorate I used:

1.75" Certainly Celery Scallop Circle

1 3/8" Early Espresso Circle

1.25" Circle Whisper White - stamp image on this before attaching

Blog Hop - Cupcake Kit

As I posted, I have previously made these for a
3D swap at Regionals in 2009. I also did a class for them last summer. They are not hard to make, just a lot of parts! Here is that post.

The original idea came from Nicole Heady.
I altered it a bit using the Jiffy mixes as I didn't want the frosting a separate item. It's just a matter of adjusting the height of the wrapper around the 2 mixes.
I dyed White Satin Ribbon with Razzleberry Reinker. (Use 5 drops of water to 1 drop of ink.) It took quite a bit of mix to get the depth of color I wanted.

The cupcake picks are packaged in a vellum envelope I made and decorated. I used layered circles and brads on the back so I could tie it shut. Short Popsicle sticks are the actual pick part. Sticky Strip is used to attach the same designs front and back to these. Melon Mambo is sponged around the edged. I tied my last scrap of Daffodil Delight 1/8" ribbon on the top pick! Each one should have a ribbon.

New Catalog Blog Hop How tos

I confess I didn't bake goodies for every package. If I had, and then eaten them, I would have put the 10 lbs. back on that I lost so far this month! :) By buying a few treats I was able to showcase how to package items and not have too many treats in the house!

Jar of apple butter, jam, or jelly packaging

Cut a scallop circle with the Big Shot and the largest Scallop Die.

Shape it gently over the jar to see what area would be on top.

Stamp on this circle area.

Folded it down over the jar lid (You can hold this in place by using

a thin rubberband to hold the circle down over the jar lid.)

Fold raffia into a 24” length (Actual length depends on your jar size.)

Wrap raffia around the jar and tied it off.

Take off rubberband at this point.

Cut a band 1.25” that will fit around your jar.

Stamp desired images on band.

Center ends on front of jar, attach with Sticky Strip Tape.

Stamp and decorate your Homemade stamp,

using Strip Tape attach over ends on front of jar.

Banded Mini Lunch Bag

Lunch bag measures 6.5” x 3.5”

You can use any size bag

you’ll just need to adapt your band

to fit the bag you use.

Cut:1 strip 3” x 11”

1 strip 3” x 4”

Punch edges with Scallop Edge Punch .

Score longest strip at 3” , 8.5”, and 10.5”.

Attach 4” strip to end that is scored at 10.5”.

You can stamp in band at this time.

Attach a piece of Sticky Strip Tape to between 8.5 and 10.5 score lines

(This is to attach the bag so it doesn’t slip out.)

Wrap band around bag to insure it fits.

Fill bag with goodies if you haven’t yet.

Attach bottom of bag to band with Sticky Strip Tape.

Attach the ends of the band together on front side of bag with Sticky Strip Tape.

Create your medallion:

Stamp Homemade stamp on white.

Punch out center with 1 ¾” punch.

Layer center circle on Baja Blue Scallop punched with 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

Punch out remainder of image on white with same 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

Flip this ring over and attach behind Baja Blue Scallop.

To create ruffle:

Cut a 1” x 11” strip of cardstock. Run it through the crimper.

Pinch together so it “gathers”.

Place pieces of sticky strip around back side of scallop shape.

Working around attach ruffle strip to scallop.

Attach to front of band where edges overlap with Dimensionals.

Take Out Birthday Treat Boxes

We have the cutest Take out boxes in the Summer Mini. Sadly there wasn't time to order some before the hop. These were something I had in my stash.

Use wheels or stamps to decorate the box before assembling.

Tie a ribbon around the box.

Stamp 2 images of Homemade in 2 complimentary colors on white.

Punch the center of one image with the 1 ¾” Circle punch.

Layer it over the other image punched with the 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

I colored the cupcake wrapper and put Crystal Effects over the frosting on the cupcake.

After the CE dries, punch a hole and attach to ribbon with white embroidery thread.

MDS Bitty Boxes

I used My Digital Studio and the Mini Project Boxes - Digital Download 120171.

I exported the box pattern and printed 4 out in 3 sizes. (One to show you with treats.)

I used Whisper White CS preprinted with the My Digital Studio Spring Shades Designer Series Paper - Digital Download 120172.

After assembling I filled them with goodies, stacked and tied Organza ribbon around them in a large bow. To make the tower more secure I attached them to each other with Sticky Strip Tape.

The tag is:

1- 2 3/8” Scallop Punch in Pumpkin Pie and crimped

1- 1 ¾” Circle punch in Whisper White

1- Stamped image in Rose Red punched with the 1 ¾” Circle punch. Trimmed at top and bottom. I applied Crystal Effects mixed with Pumpkin Pie reinker to the frosting part. It is too dark. I should have used Daffodil Delight.

2 Very thin strips of Daffodil Delight (Actually scrap laying on my desk!)

Layer these in the order listed.

Punch a hole and hang from bow with Daffodil Delight 1/8” ribbon.

The tissue in the box is a scrap left over from the project on Wednesday July 28th.

Using the Eyelet punch on tissue paper.

Use 4 layers of tissue paper, fold in half over a piece of copy paper, then punch the folded edge.

Cake Boxes These are very easy.

Box #2 BS die

Wheel or stamp your image on them. I used the Very Vintage Wheel.

Assemble box. I found I had to trim the front flap you insert at each end to fit inside.

You can just overlap the top flap over the front of the box.

Here is where you would insert the cake!

To attach a ribbon around the box:

Use a 1” circle and Sticky Strip tape. Place Sticky Strip down center of 1” circle.

Wrap the ribbon around box so ends meet on top of box over circle with Sticky Strip on it.

Stamp Homemade in Bashful Blue on white.

Punch the center of image with the 1 ¾” Circle punch.
Layer it over Night of Navy Scallop punched with the 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

Attach over ribbon and 1” circle with Sticky Strip. You want these free to slide off.

I filled 10 with punches. I put something in the bags each month with my club orders.

This year I’m going to try to make each one some type of product.

Circle Box Cookie Holder

The Homemade tag is 2 layers stamped and punched like the other tags.

The band is 2” wide and scored every ½” before wrapping it around the box.

Cookie Treat Bags
The bags are 7.5” tall x 5” wide

I folded the top edge over 1.5” and wrapped a ribbon around the bag.

Make sure your ends meet on the center front so they are hidden by the tag.

Stamp 2 images on white. Once in Chocolate Chip, One in Rose Red.

From the Chocolate Chip image punch out the words with the Word Window Punch.

Now the tricky part, insert the words back into the same punch from the bottom side of the punch,

(so you can see what you are doing), and punch the ends so it is just the words.

Layer over the words of the Rose Red image punched with the 1 ¾” Circle punch.

Punch out Chocolate Chip image with the 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

Layer Rose Red 1 3/8” circle over the Chocolate Chip Scallop that you punched the words out of.

Center on ribbon and attach to ribbon with Sticky Strip.

Matchbox Pattie Treats
These could hold any type of homemade treat that fits inside. Fudge was my first thought!

Using the Big Shot match Box die cut a base and a top.

Assemble. Put slider section over base upside down (For strength while working.).

Wrap Satin ribbon around box. Attach to front, center of slider section with Sticky Strip.

Stamp Homemade in Bashful Blue on white.

Punch the center of image with the 1 ¾” Circle punch.
Layer it over a Whisper White Scallop punched with the 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

Attach over ribbon with Sticky Strip. Turn box base right side up in slider cover.

I lined the inside of the matchbox with a piece of parchment paper cut to size,

so the candy coating wouldn’t soak into the cardstock.

Embossed Pillow Box Wedding Favors
Cut boxes from Bashful Blue with Pillow Box BS die

Emboss only front side in Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Die 114517.

Assemble box.

Tie White ¼” Grosgrain ribbon around box. A little off center. Don’t hide your embossed image!

Punch 1 Scallop Oval punch in Bashful Blue.

Stamp - Just for You, from Just Believe, punch with large Oval Punch in white.

Layer on Scallop Oval.

Punch out the word Homemade, with Word Window punch, from Bashful Blue image stamped on white scrap.

Hold together 2 images, punch a hole for white thread or cording to go through.

Tie to ribbon tied around box. I attached the homemade word at an angle with a glue dot to the oval. It kept turning upside down.

Easy Quick Treat Bag

Bag 4.5’ x 5”

Cut Early Espresso strip 1” wide x 9” long.

Score 2” from each end.

Attach to bag with Sticky Strip, tucking one end inside bag.

Stamp 3 images on Very Vanilla.

1 full image and 1 of the cupcake row in Early Espresso, one full image in Regal Rose.

From cupcake row punch out center cupcake with ½” circle punch.

Punch the Regal Rose with the 1 ¾” Circle punch.

Attach cupcake over center cupcake on Regal Rose image.

Layer it over Early Espresso Scallop punched with the 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

Attach over band on center front of bag.

Insert treats!

Stepped Up Treat Bag
Bag 3.75’ x 5’

Cut 2 Real Red strip 2.5” x 11”

Punched edge with Eyelet Punch and crimp. Pinch together a little to create ruffle effect.

Attach to inside edge of bag with Sticky Strip, keep 1” above top edge of bag

You will use the excess ruffle scrap on the tag.

Tissue paper is loose liner inside bag.

Using the Eyelet punch on tissue paper.

Using 4 layers of tissue paper, fold in half over a piece of copy paper, then punch the folded edge.

Cut 1 Real Red tag from the 2 Tags BS die

Cut a strip of Crumb Cake 2.5” x 3”

Crimp and attach Sticky Strip to top and bottom edge.

Attach scrap of ruffle edge to bottom of tag using Sticky Strip.

Attach to tag front, trim off excess.

Stamp 2 images one in Crumb Cake one in Real Red.

Punch the Crumb Cake image with the 1 ¾” Circle punch.

Layer it over Real Red image punched with the 2 3/8” Scallop Punch.

Draw in line for cupcake wrappers in Real Red.

Using 2Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds, cover frosting on cupcakes.

Attach to tag with either Dimensionals or Sticky Strip.

Tie a bow with Linen thread through slots and hole of tag.

That's the packaging for the treats!

This project was inspired by a swap I received from Trina Calloway. I added the page insert and changed out the pocket inserts. Hers was created as a gift card holder.

Materials:

Black, White, Cherry Cobbler cardstock

Heavy Duty Foil

Sticky Strip Adhesive

Build a Brad or other large brad for decor on tab
Round Velcro spots
Corner Rounder Punch
Tab Punch
small hand punch to make hole for brad to fit in tab
1/2" Circle Punch
Wide Oval Punch
Big Shot, texture plate for foil technique

Cut from Black Cardstock:

(or whatever color cardstock you choose to use):

*base piece 4.25" x 8.25" - round 4 corners - score at 4" and 4.25"

*page insert 4" x 8.25" - round 4 corners - score at 4" and 4.25"

*left hand Side Horizontal pocket 2.75" high x 3 7/8" wide - round bottom left corner

*right hand Side Vertical pocket 2.75" high x 4.25" wide

*tab 1.25" x 3" - score at 1" and .75" from one end - round both corners on other end

To Emboss Foil:

Using SU glue stick coat white cardstock evenly with a thin layer of glue. Immediately lay Heavy Duty Foil over glue. Smooth from the center out. You can cut pieces to size, then run through Big Shot using any texture plate. I ran whole sheets 5.5" x 8.5" through first, then cut my pieces. Either way works. The layer of cardstock helps keep the foil embossing from being flattened when handling it.

Cut from Embossed Foil:

(You can substitute Designer paper for all these pieces.)

2 pieces for front and back of cover 3.75" x 4.25"

Right hand side Vertical pocket piece 2 5/8" x 4"
Tab piece 1 1/8" x 3"

Layer all but back piece on matching black cardstock pieces.

Designer Paper:

back DSP Left hand Side Horizontal pocket 2.5" high x 3.75" wide

Left hand Side Horizontal pocket front layer 2.5" h x 3 6/8" w

back DSP Right hand side Vertical pocket 2.5" x 4"

You can create your own designer paper by stamping on cardstock. I used Circle Circus and the Extreme Dirtbiker stamp. Inks used were Black, Basic Grey, Sahara Sand, and Cherry Cobbler on White cardstock.

On the left hand side layer the back DSP piece, the black pocket, - (See white lines on Vertical pocket to place tape for pockets. You must keep the top edge open!) then the pocket DSP layer.

On the right hand side layer the back DSP piece then the pocket with the foil over that.

Cut 4 DSP or cardstock for layering on page insert 3.75" x 3.75"

Adding page insert:

Apply Sticky Strip between score lines on page insert. (see picture of pieces) Center on base layer over matching score lines. It is just a bit shorter than base piece. Center, and press down firmly to attach.

Layer 4 DSP page layers and embellish as you wish.

Pocket pullouts:

Cut from white cardstock:

Left hand Side Horizontal pocket pullout 3.75" x 3.75" - round top 2 corners - Attach tab to right hand edge

Right hand Side Vertical pocket 3"high x 3.25"wide Round right hand top and bottom corners - Attach tab to center point
2 Tab punches - Cherry Cobbler cardstock
Attach tabs and place in pockets.

To finish outside of cover. Attach tab with sticky strip. Then attach back foil layer.

Add brad to tab:
I rolled my Build a Brads on the Black Stazon pad and set them in some packing Styrofoam to dry.
For the paper layer, I stamped one of the Circle Circus stamps in Cherry Cobbler on White cardstock. Then punched out a center design with the 1/2" Circle Punch.

Punch a hole centered in the tab for the brad. Insert brad, cover prongs with picky side of Velcro closure. Attach soft side of closure to picky side. Fold album shut. Press tab closed so Velcro spots line up.

Decorate front cover as you wish. I used 2 Wide Oval punches behind the biker.

Last Chance Blog Hop Tutorials

Here are the how tos or where to find them for the blog hop projects. I can't improve on a good thing, Becky Robert's does such wonderful tutorials! Click here to view her tutorial for the Mini Magazine Holder. I realized I put mine together wrong after reviewing the tutorial. The triangular flaps go in the inside! :)

The tin is just layers of cardstock and ribbon. I attached them with sticky strip so they stay on the can. Measure around your can and make a test strip out of scrap paper so you know you have enough overlap to attach the layers easily.

The seed packet was inspired by a gift I received at Easter.

To make one:

Take 8.5" x 11" cardstock. Score at 5" the long way.

Turn 90 degrees to shoret side. Score at 3.5" and 7.25".

Scallop 3" edge of long side.

Fold 3" section on score line to create pocket.

Apply sticky strip to each end of 3" section. Attach to back with sticky strip.

Decorate with stamping, strips of Designer Paper and Ribbon.

Use a 20-24" length of ribbon

To keep the ribbon in place, I attached the center back point of the ribbon to the back of the card with a short piece of sticky strip.

Big Shot Treat Cup Slider

Materials:
1 sheet of colored cardstock,
scrap of white cardstock 2 ½” x 3 ½”
Big Shot, M&S Circle die, or 1 ¾” circle,
1 ¼” Circle, and Corner Rounder punches,
Two Tags die, Beautiful Wings Embosslits,
Treat cup,
Glue dots, Sticky Strip, Embellishments, ribbon,
Candy or filler for in treat cup

1. Cut cardstock 5” x 7”.

2. Score at 2” and 5”.
Turn 90 degrees score at 1”.
Fold on score lines. Cut off outer corners. See photo below.

3. Optional:
At this time if you want the pocket embossed run it through the Big Shot with any of the impression folders or plates.

4. Apply Sticky Strip as shown in picture.

If using the M&S Circle die . . .
5. Remove vertical strip of tape.
Fold back flaps over each other.
Press down to adhere tape.

6. Remove horizontal piece of tape.
Fold bottom flap up. Press down to adhere tape.

7. To cut hole using the Mover and Shaper circle cutter.

You will need.
Texturz Impressions Pad
Standard Cutting Pads
M&S Circle die

You can not use the big plate for the Mover & Shaper card. It will cut the pocket in the wrong places.
The “sandwich” for cutting with the Big Shot.
*Place the black Texturz Impressions Pad on the bottom.
*Next, place the clear cutting pad on top of the black pad.
*Lay the pocket on the cutting plate face down. It makes it easier to cut through the tape.
*Place the Mover and Shaper circle die face down , so the lavender foam is against the pocket. Center the die and place the top edge of the die 1“ from the top edge of the pocket.
*Lay the second clear cutting pad on top of the die.
Now pick it up without disturbing the "sandwich" and run it through the Big Shot.

To use the punch:
You can also use a 1 ¾” punch.
Punch from the top edge.
Slide the pocket front all the way into the punch.
Punch 1 layer at a time.
Punch the front, fold one flap in, punch lining up punch with circle in the front.
Open flap up, close other flap, punch lining up punch with circle in the front.
The circle will be a little higher.
It is not easy to punch through all the layers of tape and cardstock.

This is what it will look like when you wait to adhere the tape until after you punch.

8. Place glue dots around the top side of a treat cup. You will leave the white paper on the back side of the treat cup. This is one I was playing around with and forgot to take a new picture with a new treat cup before I made them all up. Sigh My memory is gone! lol

9. Open the pocket and slide the treat cup into the front opening. Press to adhere glue dots.

10. Die cut a tag using the Two Tags die.

11. Cut a 2 ½” x 3 ½” white cardstock. Round the corners.

12. Decorate top edge of the tag. I used a circle and butterfly to hide the hole.
You could tie ribbon through the hole to pull the tag up with. Reinforce it with either a cardstock mini circle or an eyelet. Attach a mini butterfly to front of the treat cup.

13. Fill treat cup. Slide in tag to hold candy in.
Optional: I also tied Striped Ribbon around the pocket.

Pop Up Dirt Biker

This is really an easy card. I'll try to show the steps I did.

Cut WW 5"x 8".

Score at 4".

Stamp the tree. It needs to be higher as in the picture above.

Tear the hills from one of our browns. Attach right above the fold line.

You will need to cut a spiral circle. You are seeing this in brown as the piece of window sheet did not show well at all. So cut this shape from a window sheet.

I attach one end of the spiral (Use Sticky Strip so it holds for repeated openings!) usually to the top if the card so it is centered up and down on the card..

To attach the other side remove the protective film and close the card. Press down where the tape is inside. When you open it you have your boing factor! Yours will be clear window sheet, of course.

To attach the biker cut a hinge piece from a window sheet. (Shown here in Brown CS so it can be easily seen.)

The hinge is attached to the top side of the spiral, the biker on the front side of the hinge. The biker will then lay flat when you close the card.

Cut a cloud with a slit to slide it over the end of the clear spiral on the top of the card.

Sponge the edges and some bumps in the cloud for texture with Going Grey. Oops, forgot to do that!

You can see that in the very first photo.

Slid this over your spiral on the card to hide the adhesive. Yours will be attached to the card. I did this to show you how much.

To hide the end with adhesive on the bottom of the card I covered it with the greeting.

Mover and Shaper card

This is where I found the directions for this card. Why rewrite a good thing? Marie does a great job showing how to do this type of card.

This is what I was talking about for the gift card. You'd need to attach it with glue dots.

CD Holder

Cut flap section of the box 8.5″ tall by 5 3/4″ wide .

Score from top edge at 3” and 3 ½”.

Cut box front 5” tall by 6 ¾” wide.

On 5” sides score at ½” and 1”.

On one of 6 3/4” sides score at ½” and 1”.

Apply sticky strip to outer ½” score area.

Stamp all over both pieces with Classic ink using Itty Bitty BGs.

Cut or punch out a half circle from top edge of box front.

Fold on all score lines.

Apply any ribbon or DSP decorative strips at this time.

To attach pocket to back flap:

Fold flaps in.

Attach bottom scored section to back flap first lining up evenly.

Attach sides.

Add Velcro dot for closure fastener.

Front decorative flap piece:

Chocolate Chip base 3” tall by 3 ½’ wide

1/2 Top Note die cut - sponge exposed end with same in for BG stamping.

Image layer - 3” tall by 2 1/2” wide

Stamp Extreme Elements dots image in So Saffron.
For the dirt biker image I stamped in Versamark
then in Ballet Blue, then on the CS.

I covered this with Glassy Glaze
and heat set from the bottom side of the CS.

Attach Brad

Attach flap decorative piece with sticky strip applied only at top edge.

CD Envelope:

Cut CS 10” by 5”

Score at 5”

On long sides score at ½”

Cut away the scored ½” section on one side of envelope piece.

Apply sticky strip to ½” score area.

Fold in half.

Fold flaps in over back side and attach with sticky strip.

Punch out half circle from one end.

Image layers:

Chocolate chip 3 “ by 3 ¾” .

Whisper White 2 ¾” by 3”.

Stamp lines for writing names of songs or movies.

Stamp biker image in Ballet Blue
stamp off once stamp over line image.

Layer.

Attach brads.

Attach to CD pocket.

Milk Carton Treat Boxes

Treat boxes for upcoming holidays.

Lookie Lookie! lol I got my little order today

and of course it had the Milk Carton die in it.

I really love creating stuff with my Big shot and dies.

I used my friend Trina's idea for folding the cardstock

to make the the die cut bigger.

How tos:

1. Score and fold the the CS to 4.5 x 11 inches. You want an smooth fold line.

2. Run it through the Big Shot with the fold just above the base fold line in the die.

Here I laid a white milk carton die cut under so you cou see where to place the cardstock.

You may have to experiment the plates. The score lines tend to cut through. I ended up using some well used plates that with all the cutting were thinner than the newer set I tried to use first.

3. Open, fold on four long score lines.

4. Attach sticky strip to narrow flap on outer side.
Fasten box by folding over in itself.

5.Fold ends in and staple. I'm stapling at this point
to keep the box securely closed.

6. Once assembled you can decorate.

First I layered a 2.5 x 7 inch strip.

Over that I layered a different 1.5 x 7 inch strip.

Kaleidoscope DSP

Stencil Bleaching on Fabric

Supplies:

T shirt or fabric item

fresh unscented bleach

filtered tape water

small spray bottle

tag board liner - plastic to cover this

Iron

Ironing board or soft towel to iron in

Different fabrics will beach out differently.

If possible test bleach on inside area of clothing

or a scrap of fabric first.

1. Wash your item without using softener.

This removes any sizing in the fabric.

2. Use painter’s tape to attach stencil to shirt. You want to peel it off with very little stretching of the fabric. If you need to use other tape stick it to fabric once to twice first (so it will be less tacky) before attaching stencil.

To line up stencil where you’d like it on your chest. You can do this with shirt on.

Place tape at edge of top and side of stencil. Then with shirt off, you can get the correct placement for the stencil.

3. Line shirt with waterproof liner. Make sure it is laying horizontal before starting to spray bleach solution.

I used the tag board sleeve the stencils came in. I only cut one end of the package to slide the stencils out. You could use anything covered with saran wrap, or a plastic bag. You want the fabric pulled smooth but not stretched by the insert. I folded the extra shirt fabric under, so I wouldn’t get stray bleach spray on it.

4. Lay an absorbent napkin or paper towel 2-3 layers

around stencil edge to protect shirt from run off.

5. Mix fresh bleach 50 - 50 with filtered tap water in a small spray bottle.

6. Holding spray bottle about 5 inches away from stencil area spray short blasts in open stencil area.

Drops of the bleach solution will build up on stencil. Make sure to cover open areas thoroughly but do not drench area. Too much spray in the open stencil areas will cause design to bleed.

7. Carefully blot off excess bleach solution. Don’t wipe, just blot with absorbent napkins or paper towels.

8. Remove stencil. Let the shirt sit a minute or two, then remove the liner and slide the shirt over the ironing board or place a towel inside (this prevents the bleach from getting on the back side of the shirt. ) Iron on a low heat setting to dry shirt faster. The bleach solution has less chance to bleed out.

Shirt is set to wear. You can rinse the shirt if a strong bleach odor remains.

The shirt can be washed as instructed on care of t-shirt.

Party Favor Bag

Supplies:
Fabric 17” wide x 9” high
Sewing machine you do zig zag and straight stitch on or serger sewing machine
Thread to match or contrast with fabric
Stencil
Stencil paints
Stencil brushes - preferably one for each color
Painters tape
Sturdy ribbon for drawstring - Grosgrain Ribbon works well
2 large eyelets
Crop A Dile
2 large beads optional

Stencil your design onto fabric.
Place water proof layer beneath fabric to prevent paint form staining work surface. Allow to dry. Use painters tape to hold stencil in place. You can use good post its (cut to size) or painters tape to cover open areas to prevent stenciling in wrong areas. Change with each color change.

Bag Assembly:
1. Zig Zag or Serge on one long edge of fabric.

2. Fold in each short edge ¼ inch. Iron flat. Sew edge seam so end of tube is finished.

3. Fold zig zagged long edge over toward back side of fabric 1 inch. Iron flat. Sew straight stitch seam over edge of zig zagged edge to hold in place. This will be the “tube” for the drawstring to run through.

4. Fold fabric in half. Right sides together. Sew short side from tube edge to bottom of fabric. Use either Serger or a straight stitch at ¼ inch and then a zig zag stitch along very edge.

5. Open flat, center seam just sewn. Stitch along bottom edge to finish bag. Use either Serger or a straight stitch at ¼ inch and then a zig zag stitch along very edge, to reinforce bottom of bag.

6. Turn right side out. Iron smooth on low setting. Iron from back side so as to not scorch the stencil paint.

7. Set a large eyelet in each corner using the Crop A Dile. You do not need to enlarge hole as for paper, fabric stretches around eyelet shape.

8. Thread ribbon from front through one eyelet, around back of bag through tube, back down and out the front through the other eyelet. Tie a knot in each end. You may thread a bead on before tying the knot.

Bag is ready to be filled with goodies.

Pixy Stick Holder Pocket

The Pixy Stick Holder Pocket

This would even make a cute birthday favor.
Just change out the stamps and colors you use.

Score a sheet of Sahara Sand CS the long way at 2.25"
Saves doing it 5 times. I also added some score lines randomly on the shorter flap.

Cut Sahara Sand CS into strips 2" or 2.25" wide x 8.5" (You'll get 5 from one sheet)

Apply Sticky Strip cut to 1/8" wide along edges of short flap.
Remove plastic covering. Fold short flap up to form pocket.

Decorate with punches and ribbon.
Any tall thin candy wold fit in here. You could make the pocket wider for thicker treats. You would just get less out of one sheet.
OR

Make the pocket taller, so pencils fit inside.
Cut CS 2" x 11" (You'll get 4 from one sheet)
Score at 3.5'"
Apply Sticky Strip cut to 1/8" wide along edges of short flap.
Remove plastic covering. Fold short flap up to form pocket.
Decorate with punches and ribbon.

Notepad Holder Tutorial

I love the notepad holder made by Patty Bennett using SU’s office folders. Even though I own them. I am loath to cut them. I want to make over my office area and they are my starting point.

I decided to try and make them from our 8.5 x 11” cardstock.
I succeeded! This is the finished product!

Supplies:
2 sheets 8.5” x 11’ cardstock
Sticky Strip
1 sheet Designer Paper - I used the Kaleidoscope DSP
Snail to attach Designer Paper
Scoring tool
12” cutter
Velcro circle fastener

Step 1.
Cut one sheet 8.5” x 11” cardstock to 7” x 11” now known as sheet A
Cut the other 8” x 11” now known as sheet B.

Step 2.
Score sheet A at 5.5” and 6” - scoring the tall length of the sheet.
Lightly pencil or lightly score a line at 6.5”. (This is for attaching the other sheet.)
Turn 90 degrees to the right and score at 2.75”.

Step 3.
Score sheet B at 5.5” and 6” - scoring the tall length of the sheet.
Turn 90 degrees to the right and score at 2.75”.
Trim bottom right corner off at 5.5” and 2.75” marks.

Step 4.
Attach Sticky Strip to right edge of sheet A.
Flip sheet B over and attach to right edge of sheet B.

Step 5.
Remove Sticky Strip plastic cover. Turn sheet B over so two taped edges will overlap.

CAREFUL! Once this stuff sticks, it sticks, and is almost impossible to remove.
Line up sheet B along pencil or light score line at 6.5” mark.
Line up 2.75” score line on both. Press down to adhere.

Step 6.
Attach 3 short pieces of Sticky Strip on bottom 2.75” flap.
Remove Sticky Strip plastic cover. Fold bottom flap upward, lining up edges and press down to adhere.

Step 7:
For the wrap around band, you need to attach 2 pieces of DSP together to get a 14.25” length for the whole notebook. I started with the short flap and went around the book. I had to trim 1/8” off the DSP after folding and attaching.

For an all over pattern paper as in the sample at the top of the tutorial, cut the DSP 5.25” wide x 12 for one piece and 5.25” x 2.75” for the other. Overlap ½’ of each paper with Sticky Strip. I again lightly scored a line for aligning the two sheets. You could make the DSP any width.

Step 8:
Here is the inside with the notepad inserted. I attached DSP to the top of the notepad and the pocket front. I used the larger scallop on the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die and my Circle Cutter to create the flap décor.

I made the pink one with a retired Scrappin’ Kit. I have a friend who loves anything tropical so I made that one for her. On that one the left flap is the top flap. I wanted to use the Die cuts that came in that kit.

I trimmed the flap edges at an angle on the bottom notepad holder with the flowers on. It’s not necessary I just wanted to see how it would look. The butterfly notepad holder I trimmed away the excess paper so the wing would pop. I layered a scallop circle and a circle cut with the circle scissors plus behind it.

I also want to make some with ribbon and bling. I see matching pens, post it note pads and paperclip bookmarks all coordinating in my future!

Father's Day Shirt Card

Supplies:

Kraft Card base 8.5” x 5.5”
Designer Paper 2’ x 6”
scrap Kraft card stock
scrap red for heart
Sahara Sand Ink

12” paper cutter
Small Tag Punch
Heart to Heart punch
sponge

1. Score Kraft cs in half.

2. Cutting 1" from top edge.
Cut 1.5" in from each side. Cut down fold line 1“.
Fold flaps in to center to form collar.

3. Punch a small tag shape from end of 2”x6” DSP.

4. Trace tie pattern onto remaining DSP. Cut out.

I drew a pattern for the tie. See picture. Cut a scrap of paper 2” x 4” . Fold in half. Draw the point of the tie. The top of tie is 1” across. Cut from side point up to top of paper to create tie shape.

Unfold and trace on back side of DSP to cut out.

5. Punch a small tag shape for pocket.

6. Punch larger heart for “hankie”.

7. Sponge edges of card, collar and pocket.

8. Attach tie by lining up tip at bottom, edge of card.

Fold collar flaps in and place tag shape over top of tie so it shows below collar. Attach.

9. Attach collar ends to shirt/tie now.

10. Attach heart to back side of pocket and attach to shirt.

This card will work for many guy occassions.

Father's Day, a birthday or a congrats card for a job or promotion.

Faux Silk Technique

This technique works well with any floral set. I really like how it turns out using Eastern Blooms or Embrace Life. This is the card I made for the blog tour May15-16th.

Supplies you’ll need:
Tissue paper - I find the tissue with the shiny back works best. Less ink bleeds through.
SU Glue stick

Classic Dye Ink or SU Markers

This technique can used with any floral stamp set. I really like it with Eastern Blooms and Embrace Life.

1. Stamp images on tissue paper. Tissue should be larger than cardstock piece.

2. If your images are outline style you can color them in. Start in center of outline work out toward edge.

3. Ball the tissue up so it is totally wrinkled. Gently smooth out tissue. I like the wrinkles and fold that are created by leaving it somewhat crumpled.

4. Apply glue stick to the entire piece of Whisper White cardstock. I cut my card stock bigger than I want it for my card. I can then trim using the best image area.

5. Place tissue paper over Whisper White cardstock. Pat down. Smooth out most wrinkles.

6. Trim to size needed for card. You can now finish your card. This will be one layer of your card.

Dyeing Organza Ribbon

This is such a wow thing! I love that we can match this ribbon with all the colors we carry.
I learned this from Lisa Dallas - lisacat on Stampin’ Addicts

The ratio is 5 parts water or 91% alcohol to 1 part reinker

I use 10 of water and 2 drops of ink for about 12” - 18” of ribbon.I use tap water, it works. If you have hard water (high mineral content) you may want to use the alcohol. I did find some in the pharmacy dept. at my grocer’s.

1. In a Ziploc sandwich bag place 5 drops of water or alcohol and 1 drop of reinker for every 6” of ribbon you are dyeing. I use an empty reinker bottle for the water portion. When I was at Regionals and had to make more colored ribbon, I did drops of water off my fingers, it was slow but it worked!

2. Mix together.

3. Drop ribbon into bag. Seal and swish around. I tip and tilt until the ribbon totally soaks up the liquid. It goes fast.

If there is not enough dye for the ribbon you can add more into a corner. Add water first then reinker. Mix up, seal and tip toward ribbon.

Lay ribbon on foil or wax paper to dry. If placed on paper towels the color will be pulled out of the ribbon. If the shade is too intense I place ribbon between paper towels and pull ribbon through. This takes some of the color out. I then lay it on wax paper to dry. If dries fast. Within 30 mins.

Some of the colors I have done. The Ballet Blue was wiped down to lessen the color intensity.

Father’s Day Wallet Scrapbook

There are lots of wallets out there. This is not unique.

I loved that I got to put memories in here for Josh’s Dad.

Josh is now 26 so these are really special memories.

He had pneumonia twice in the first year.

We feared we’d lose him. Kid turned to be healthy as a horse after that!

How tos:

1. Round corners of 3 long Chocolate Chip cardstock. Cut 3’ x 8” piece in half at center point. Score and fold other 2 in half.

2. Round top corner on one end of each of the 4 Red Dot DSP.

3. Round all 4 corners on 3 pieces of Close to Cocoa DSP.

4. Run largest Chocolate Chip cardstock piece through with Big Shot Texture Paisley plate. I did half at a time. Setting cardstock on plate at fold line.

5. Pierce all around the edge on the paisley textured 3.5’ x 8.5” Chocolate Chip cardstock. Pierce all around the 2.5’ x 8.5” Chocolate Chip cardstock. Pierce the top and outer sides of the 2 - 3” x 4.25” Chocolate Chip cardstock halves. You can use the Mat Pack piercing pattern to do this.

6. Using snail attach 2 Red Dot inserts to textured 3.5” x 8.5“.
Attach 2 2 Red Dot inserts to 2 - 3” x 4.25” Chocolate Chip cardstock halves.
Attach 2 Close to Cocoa DSP to front of 2.5” x 8.5” piece. Do not center.
Move toward outer edge. See photo.

7. Note: I put my Sticky Strip™ on the release paper from the back of our stamps and cut it to 1/8” wide. Place Sticky Strip™ pieces on back side of bottom and end edges of 2 - 3” x 4.25” Chocolate Chip cardstock halves. Line up with outer edge of 3.5” x 8.5” Chocolate Chip cardstock piece and adhere together.

8. Place Sticky Strip™ on back side of bottom and outer end edges of 2.5’ x 8.5” Chocolate Chip cardstock piece.
Line up with outer edge of 3.5” x 8.5” Chocolate Chip cardstock piece and adhere on top of the previous layer. You will now have your 4 pockets in the wallet. The bottom one is open all across to make it easier to get the gift card in and out.

9. Stamp Happy Father’s Day or any phrase in Chocolate Chip ink. Punch out with Large Oval punch. Layer on 2 Red Dot Large Oval punches so Red Dot edges show. Attach on right inside pocket. See photo.

Front Embellishment:
1. Stamp image for dad twice. Once in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla. Once in Riding Hood Red on Very Vanilla.
Trim Riding Hood Red image around dad word.
Ink all over with Versamark. Using tweezers dip in glassy glaze. Heat with embossing gun. Repeat 2 times. Hold a different corner each time. Place in freezer few minutes. Flex and bend image to create cracks. This is the Cracked Glass Technique.

2. Attach Grosgrain to back of 2” x 1.75” Riding Hood Red piece. Attach that to 2.25” x 2.25” Close to Cocoa DSP Use yellow side for layering on front of card. Attach image stamped in Chocolate Chip (trim to 1.5” x 1.75”) to Riding Hood Red layer. Attach Glassy Glaze piece on top of that image. Attach layered embellishment to lower left corner of wallet front. See photo.

Scrapbook Card Inserts:
1. Round all 4 corners on 3 pieces of Brown With Pink Dots DSP.

I punched the photos out with the 1 ¾” Circle punch. The text was done on the computer and punched out with the Large Oval and 1 ¼“ circle punches.

Layer each oval text piece on 2 Red Dot Large Oval punches so Red dot edges show.
Layer 1 ¼“ circle text piece on 1 3/8” Red Dot circle.

Attach 2” Red Dot circle to scrapbook card inserts.
Attach photos on circles. Attach text shapes.

Insert into 3 pocket of wallet. Gift card goes in lower right pocket.

Watering Can
All the pictures look like the wrong paper?

I used the mini I made as a bonus project for photos!

Supplies are at the end of the tutorial, for the mini watering can.

Supplies:
Designer Paper: Candy Lane
Body of Watering Can 6” x 10.5”
Handle 2” x 12”

Big Shot Flowers Layers #3 Die, Baskets and Blooms Die (flowers), Beautiful Butterfly Die
Scallop Oval, Scallop Edge, Word Window, Large, Small, and Jumbo Oval Punches
Scor-Pal™ or other paper scoring tool If you don’t have a Scor-Pal™ , I recommend getting one they are such a time saver.
Sticky Strip™, Snail, Glue Dots, Vellum tape, Linen Thread, Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button, Clear Buttons, Paper Piercer, Crimper, Paper shredder for grass, bamboo skewers (colored with Always Artichoke markers)

Body:
1. I cut my cardstock base 4 ½” x 4 ½” . Score at 7/8” on all 4 sides.
Score outward on all four corners. (It makes the base stronger to fold the corners in than to cut and overlap.) If you lay your cardstock on the Scor-Pal™ so it is a diamond shape, you can score from the point to where the score lines meet.

2. Fold the corners in. I fold the ends in to the side and then over. After folds are creased, open up, apply Sticky Strip™ to inside of folds, refold to form box base.

Bands: If you want bands on your watering can, do so now, it is easier. I cut ¾” strips from a different color DSP. I ran it through the Big Shot using the Sizzix Texture #4 kit. This is optional. It is longer than the plate so I did it once as long as I could, then ran it through again lining up the textured part at the edge of the plate. You can attach these with snail.

3. Place Sticky Strip™ on the bottom edge and along one side of the back side of the 6” x 10.5” Designer Paper. Remove the Sticky Strip™ along the bottom edge only. Starting the DSP at the middle point of one side, apply the Designer paper to side of box bottom. Keep the edges of the paper and the box base even.

Fold corner over tightly. Continue with 3 sides. When you reach the 4th side remove sticky strip from other edge of DSP. Carefully attach bottom edge, making sure side edge does not stick where it shouldn’t. Tall side edge should only overlap the width of the tape.

4. To cut 1 ¼” slit for spout. Carefully cut between bands on opposite side of seam. I tried to do it before I attached it to the base but this is where it ended up!

So now you have a banded box in a bag with a slit in the side. To turn this into a watering can . . .
The side with the seam in the middle is where you will place the handle.

Handle: I did the handle this way as it is stronger and I can pick up the EMPTY watering can with the handle. With the heavy metal flower holder, I used in the bottom, I felt it could rip off. If you fill it with lightweight stuff you can still pick it up by the handle.

5. Cut a strip 2” x 12” for handle. Score down center. Fold 2’ x 12” strip in half. Seal together with snail. Curl around something large at first to give it curve. I used a pencil can. You can then curl the bottom edge around something smaller to get the outgoing curl. You can make you handle anyway you want, with as many curls as you want.

Place Sticky Strip™ on ½” of top end. Attach this over top band (if you applied one) at side of watering can with seam.
Curl handle downward. Where does it rest against the side? Where do you want to attach it? I centered mine on the bottom band. Attach another ½” of Sticky Strip™. Fix to side of watering can.

Spout:
6. Cut a strip 2” x 4“-6” for the spout. Score down center. Fold strip in half. Seal together with snail. Slide into slit (open fold side down) in watering can. Decide the angle you want your spout. I drew lightly with a pencil to mark my angle. I wanted a longer spout on this one. Cut slant on each end. In the end that will slide into the watering can cut straight up ½”. Fold these flaps so they are creased to fold at an angle. Attach Sticky Strip™ to opposite sides, one on each flap. Slide spout into slit again. Reach inside peel off red liner cover, fold flaps so they are attached to inside of watering can. Press firmly.

Spout end:
7. Punch 3 Oval scallop punches. Attach 2 together with snail. Pierce 7 symmetrical holes in it. Attach Sticky Strip™ to the third. Cut in half. Center pierced oval on end of spout, fold over to other side and attach ½ 3rd punch shape to exposed oval and spout end. This is a must look at picture step! lol Repeat with other side. Level spout end so it site evenly.

Butterfly: I used the Big Shot Beautiful Butterfly’s die. I cut 2 of the smaller side ½ butterfly shape. Fold your DSP before cutting. If you forget you can attach then to a Word Window punch on the back side and then layer one on the front for the body.
How do I know? lol

Flowers: Pink Pirouette, Candy lane DSP, Whisper White
I used the Big Shot Flowers Layers #3 Die, Baskets and Blooms Die (flowers), you can use any flower shapes you want. I was in a time crunch or I would have make these more intricate. I just layered the punches and placed Chocolate Chip Corduroy Buttons on some. Others I layered DSP stamped or plain, behind Clear Buttons and attached all with glue dots. The curly flower at the top is DSP 4 sections, each are 2 layers attached together. I would do it with the Xyron in the future. You can still see some red where I used snail. I curled the petals around a bamboo skewer. These, bamboo skewers are what I used for stems. I colored with the Always Artichoke marker. The leaves are crimped paper that I then punched out with the different Oval punches. I used Mono liquid glue to attach them to the bamboo skewers.

Grass: Mellow Moss
It is 6” x 11“, it could be 12” if you have 12x12 paper. There will be a gap behind the flowers. I fed it into the paper shredder, and reversed it back out after about 3.5”. You need to know I cannot cut that many strips. I have carpal tunnel issues! lol If you want you can cut the grass blades. You just need a long scissors to do it!

Tag: I hand cut a tag shape. Layered it with a piece of white that I used the Scallop Edge punch to trim. I layered DSP that matched the bands. Then stamped the congrats on a piece of DSP that matched the body base. The flower is die cut from Flowers #3 using the Big Shot. I tied it to the Watering Can with Linen thread.

Mini Watering Can

Supplies:
Designer Paper: Rainbow Sherbet
Body of Watering Can 3” x 7.25”
Handle 1 ½” x 6” Score at midpoint fold in half
Spout 1 ¾” x 4” Score at midpoint fold in half
Scrap to punch 3 Oval punches from (2 large - one small)

Cardstock: Bashful Blue
Base piece 2.5” x 2.5” Score at 3/8” on all four sides.

Scallop Heart Valentine Treat

Supplies Needed:
Love You Much Stamp set

BigZ Die Large Scallop

Ink:

Ruby Red - (ink pad and marker)

2 way glue
Tacky Tape
Blender Pen
¼ sponge

Cut 3 Pink Pirouette cardstock scallops with your Big Shot with the BigZ Die Large Scallop.
Cut 1 vellum scallop with your Big Shot using the BigZ Die Large Scallop.
Cut one smaller scallop #2 die (the smaller of the 2 on the die.) from Riding Hood Red.

To make the embellishment:
Stamp scallop stamp from Love You Much stamp set 3 times on Whisper White.

1. Color scallop edge on one with blender pen and Ruby Red from in ink pad lid. (Squeeze your ink pad together while closed to get ink on lid. Use this with blender pen for softer color.) Color ring with Ruby Red marker. Color heart on a different stamped image with Ruby Red.

2. Punch out image with colored scallop edge with scallop punch. Use 2 way glue to place Dazzling Diamonds on dots in outer scallop.Layer on #2 Riding Hood Red scallop.

3. From 3rd image punch out center circle with 1” circle punch. Layer on scallop image with demensionals.

4. Punch out colored heart with ¾” circle punch. Sponge edges with Riding Hood Red. Layer heart on center circle with demensionals.

5. Attach 2 - 1 ½“ pieces of Riding Hood Red Taffeta behind largest Riding Hood Red scallop.

Basket body:

1. Score 2 of the large pink scallops at center 2 1/4"- Fold in half.

Lay between 2" and 6 1/2" on Scorepal. You don't have one?

You have to get one, they are fantastic!

2. I cut the inside of the handle using larger scallop on scallop #2.
It could be cut as a round curve with Coluzzle.

3. Attach back flaps together. Attach handle to top of back flaps.

Stamp hearts with Riding Hood Red all over for background.

5. Tape vellum circle inside heart basket. I got several from a 4 1/4" x 11 piece. You can see the bottom is missing a few scallops. It's okay no one but you sees them.
Fold front flaps over. Attach where they overlap.

Attach embellishment to front flap. tie ribbon around handle.

Fill with shredded paper and treats or treats in a bag with a tag.
